Farmers' Market and Flea Market in Bethesda

I visited Bethesda Farmers' Market. Actual title is  "Montogomery Farm Women's Co-op Market", and it sells fruits, furniture, flowers, cheese, meat, and home made cakes.  It is held every Wednesday, Friday, and Saurday. I heard that the market has been a part of Bethesda since 1932.

I glanced over it first, and took a look one by one. I brought some kinds of Squashes named "Patti Pan Squash" and some good looking garics raised in Georgia. ( It were not produced in China!) When I took a picture I found figs that I liked, I bought one small basket of figs for 3 dollars. Every fruit and vegetables seemed to be expensive than mordernized markets such as Giant and Safe Way, but it was clearly fresh.

Outside the market house, there is small flea market. Usually every Saturday and Sunday are very busyday for flea market, today is just Friday so little sellers were shown up. Most of the flea market sellers were women and they selled ornaments like earrings, braslets, rings, skaves, bags, and other small stuffs.

Is it possible to compare with Korean Traditional market "Jang" ?
When I lived in Small town near Hwachon in Kangwondo, there were 8 day-Jang in Hwachon which was held every 5 days - when the day was 3rd, the next Jang was 8th, 13th, 18th, 23rd, 28th in every  month.
I used to buy all kinds of vegetables,  home made side dishes, fruits, some seeds for garden and ate traditional kangwando foods. Sometimes I bought lots of dried vegetables for choosuk-gifts for families and friends because their quality were pretty high and the price were reasonable or cheaper.
When I bought bean sprouts or other vegetables, I didn't reveal my greedy because if I got too much than I need, the rest of them must be in trash or kept in freezer rottenly at last. So, If seller tried to give more than I need, I always said, " That's enough. Please save for the others." Sometimes I shared instant snack that was sold in the market with them. So some merchants remembered me, sometimes they gave me their stuffs little bit for free, and one woman gave me a small bag of well-dried mushrooms for Choosuk gift. I would like to call it "jung",(human nature). (How could we express it?)I really miss that time.
