Shopping and Coupons

When I buy something with regular price, I feel sad, unhappy and foolish myself, it seems like I miss something. I should have used at least one coupon!!!
I am a sort of coupon mom. Sometimes I go to long ride to use ( spend!) one coupon with the reason that I should  save money. Using coupon, or buying the stuff with discount price makes me happy anyway.

This hobby-like behaviors have been continued even here as well as in Korea.
Usually I go shopping to Costco, Giant Food store, H-mart or Super Grand Mart in Maryland, Safeway, and sometime CVS.  Except Super Grand Mart, I have all membership card, or bonus card.  Also I use some coupons which are provided to subscribers of Sunday newspaper. Every Saturday early morning a bunch of flyers and coupon books are delieved to my apartment. Most of them are useless to me actually.....

Because I buy most living stuff like water, soaps, shampoo in COSTCO with membership card. Such everyday-supplies are cherper than other store. But COSTCO doesn't accept other coupons.  So, I usually use these coupon when I need to buy some stuff right now or the items which are not sold in COSTCO. 

For other stuff that is not sold in COSTCO, I usually use 3 stores with mixed choice; when I buy icecream and water, I usually go to Safeway not Giant. When I got discount coupon mail from CVS, I visit CVS. 

Nowadays Giant is on big sale with coupon.  Giant sent me extra saving coupon when I pay  over $ 50, I can get discount $ 8, and 4 double coupons which can be used with any $1 off coupon with purchase over  $15.  It means if I buy more than $50 with the condition above, I can get save at least $12. Moreover because I buy with Giant bonus card, I pay less money than regular price.

Last thursday, I visited Giant to use coupon.  I bought one medicine with the condition of " buy one get one free" for $ 39.99 named "Osteo Bi-flex". Additionally I had $ 6 off Osteo bi-flex coupon. And I bought  milk, 2 bottles of body cleansers with $ 1 off coupon, and two kinds of 6-dollars snacks.

I used  $ 8 off coupon,  $ 6 off coupon, 4 double coupons, $1 off coupon with Giant bonus card.

To get  Sunday newspaper's coupon I paid about $ 12.40 for 20 weeks.  Using the coupons I saved much more money than I spent for newspapers.  

All in all I saved about $ 60. Isn't that good deal?
